ANAHEIM, Calif., Sept. 30, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Honda Center is set to kick off the 2026-27 NHL season with a series of exciting events and improvements, as the arena continues its $1 billion transformation. The Anaheim Ducks will return to the ice on October 4, facing the Florida Panthers in the home opener. Leading up to the season, the arena will host a four-day concert series, featuring the World's Collide Concert Tour, Thomas Rhett, and Breaking Benjamin.
The transformation of Honda Center is part of a broader $1 billion project known as Honda Center Encore, which aims to enhance the guest experience while the arena remains operational. Among the new features is the Splitero Club, a premium space located on the Columbia Bank Club Level. The club offers private booths, loge seats, dining tables, a full-service bar, buffet, and lounge areas, providing a premium experience for guests.
In addition to the Splitero Club, the arena is introducing new food and beverage options. Executive Chef Cesar Regalado and the in-house culinary team have developed a range of new menu items, including the Schiacciata Sweet Sandwich, Buñuelos, Chicken Tender Tacos, and the Golden Dog. These additions, along with returning favorites, aim to provide guests with more variety and creativity during their visit.
Beverage options are also expanding, with new brands like Coors Banquet, Coors Light, and Coors 0.0 from Molson Coors, and Modelo and Pacifico from Constellation Brands. Draft Picks, which recently won the 2026 Excellence in Concessions Award for Best New Technology by Pollstar, will serve up new brews this season. The Tito's Handmade Vodka space at Section 415 will offer cocktails, mocktails, and beer and wine, while the Modelo Puck Drop Patio will provide guests with a chance to enjoy the Southern California weather and special offers.
The 2026-27 season will also feature a mix of sports, music, and family entertainment. On December 2, the Jonas Brothers will perform their Burning Up Tour All Over Again, revisiting their original 2008 setlists and staging. Three days later, UCLA men's basketball will take on Gonzaga in the West Coast Hoops Showdown. The Ducks' home opener will be followed by a packed calendar of concerts and family shows.
Beyond the arena, the $1 billion Honda Center Encore project is part of a larger $1.5 billion OCVIBE development. Phase 1 of OCVIBE, which will begin opening in early 2027, will add new dining, entertainment, and public spaces around Honda Center. The first venue to open will be the 5,000-capacity Concert Hall in March. Katella Commons, a 50,000-square-foot market hall, will showcase 21 chef-driven kitchens and six integrated bars and lounges. The development will also include new outdoor gathering spaces and an Urban Park, featuring a media screen wider than a Boeing 737's wingspan.
OCVIBE, a privately funded 100-acre mixed-use district, is being developed by the Samueli family. Once fully complete in 2033, the new community will bring 20 acres of open space, more than 2,000 residences, and 35+ new dining and entertainment options. The development will also include a 5,000-seat Concert Hall, a 50,000-square-foot market hall, and a mass-timber office building called The Weave.
Honda Center, home to the 2007 Stanley Cup champion Anaheim Ducks, has hosted over 4,700 events and attracted 46 million visitors since its opening in 1993. The arena's transformation and the upcoming OCVIBE development are expected to further enhance the community's appeal, providing more opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy a range of experiences.
