Hodson P.I. Awards First Truth & Integrity Scholarship

Hodson P.I., a professional investigative firm based in Southern California, has awarded its inaugural Hodson Truth & Integrity Scholarship to Melissa Chai, recognizing her exceptional character and leadership. Nearly 50 students from across the United States applied for the prestigious award, which was established to honor students who exemplify integrity, accountability, and a commitment to making a positive difference in their communities.

Chai, a student from Temecula, California, was chosen for her record of leadership, advocacy, and service. She has represented thousands of students and created opportunities for others in her community, consistently using her voice and talents to help those around her. The scholarship, initially set at $2,500, has expanded to include two additional recipients, reflecting the high quality of the inaugural applicant pool.

According to Justin D. Hodson, CPI, founder and president of Hodson P.I., the scholarship is more than just a financial aid program. "As investigators, our profession is built around finding and protecting the truth, but this scholarship is about recognizing young people who choose honesty, accountability, leadership, and service even when those choices are not the easiest ones," he stated. "Melissa represents exactly what we hoped to find when we created this scholarship."

Hodson P.I. received nearly 50 applications, making the selection process challenging. The firm decided to award two additional scholarships to exceptional applicants, acknowledging the extraordinary achievements of the students who applied. The recipients will be announced individually in the coming weeks, allowing Hodson P.I. to share their stories and accomplishments.

The scholarship committee, consisting of professionals dedicated to reviewing the applications, included members such as Rachel Boden, Bianca Carranco, Nicole Cusanelli, Diane Douglas, AJ Nigro, Alison Peacock, JD, CPI, LeeAnn Plogger, and Gordon Swaim. Their thoughtful participation in the inaugural selection process has helped Hodson P.I. identify outstanding candidates who embody the principles of integrity and service.

The Hodson Truth & Integrity Scholarship is part of the company's broader commitment to community involvement, professional ethics, and supporting future leaders. Hodson P.I. plans to continue the scholarship program in future years, building upon the impact of its inaugural class of recipients.
