The Health & Fitness Association (HFA) and the Fitness Technology Summit (FTS) have joined forces to expand global industry connections and drive innovation in the fitness sector. The partnership, announced during the FTS 2026, will bring together two established European events to create a comprehensive forum for industry leaders.
The partnership will see the HFA's European Congress, which has a strong track record of success, merge with the FTS European event. This collaboration will take place from May 25-26, 2027, in London, under the banner of The Fitness Technology Summit: European Congress in Partnership with HFA. The event will combine the strengths of HFA’s European Congress with the technology and AI expertise of FTS, providing a platform for in-depth discussions on the role of technology in the fitness industry.
The partnership will also extend to The HFA Show 2027, scheduled for March 10-12 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. FTS will curate three education sessions at the show, exploring how emerging technologies are transforming fitness businesses and the member experience. These sessions will bring FTS’s technology-focused expertise to the international audience of fitness operators, suppliers, and industry professionals, addressing topics such as data-driven decision-making, member engagement and retention, and the evolving role of fitness in health and wellness.
The 2027 European event builds on the success of the 2026 Health & Fitness Association’s European Congress, which was held in partnership with ukactive and EVOLVE. HFA and FTS see this collaboration as an opportunity to create a forum for associations and operators across Europe to share research, address industry challenges, strengthen relationships, and work toward common goals. Through the partnership, attendees will benefit from the combined networks and expertise of both organizations, connecting industry associations, fitness operators, suppliers, technology providers, entrepreneurs, and investors.
The organizations are expected to announce additional details about the 2027 European event and the FTS-curated sessions at The HFA Show in the coming months. Through this partnership, the industry can look forward to a more connected and innovative future, with a stronger collective voice and a shared commitment to driving growth and improvement in the fitness sector.
