GSP Resource Corp. Expands High-Grade Gold Discovery at Alwin Mine

GSP Resource Corp., a Vancouver-based mining company, has provided a year-to-date summary of its activities and an outlook for the upcoming fall exploration season. The company's efforts at its 100%-owned Alwin Mine and Mer properties in British Columbia have yielded promising results, with the first assays from step-out drilling at the Alwin high-grade gold discovery anticipated in September.
In the first eight months of 2026, GSP Resource Corp. completed an expanded 1,801 metre Phase 1 diamond drilling program, significantly exceeding the planned 1,200 to 1,500 metre program. This drilling was anchored by four step-out holes designed to expand the high-grade gold discovery made in late 2024 at Alwin. The 2024 discovery hole, AM-24-06, returned 5.04 g/t gold and 1.01% copper over 7.90 metres, including a 1.64 metre interval of 22.93 g/t gold and 1.82% copper, with an individual sample assaying 35.1 g/t gold.
The 2026 step-out holes, totalling approximately 1,150 metres, yielded mineralized zones with characteristics similar to the 2024 discovery core. Despite the promising results, the high-grade gold has not yet been incorporated into the Alwin Project's mineral resource. The current resource, estimated at 1.46 million tonnes at 1.08% copper, containing 34.6 million pounds of copper, is based solely on copper values.
Surface sampling conducted in fall 2025 at the Alwin Apex Zone returned rock grab samples with significant metal values, including 1.85% copper, 348 g/t silver, and 2.6 g/t gold. These results, while selective and not necessarily representative of the mineralization, add to the company's growing body of evidence supporting the potential for high-grade gold within the project area.
The Mer property, located approximately 1.5 km northwest of the Alwin Mine, saw its first diamond drilling in 60 years. Four holes, totalling approximately 651 metres, were drilled to test the porphyry copper target, with core observations revealing fracture-related potassic, chloritic, and silicification alterations hosted in granodiorite of the Guichon Creek Batholith.
Looking ahead, the company anticipates staged assay results from the Phase 1 drilling to be released in September and October 2026. These results will be integrated with existing geophysical, geochemical, and hyperspectral data to inform targeting for subsequent exploration programs. Additionally, the company will evaluate the results to determine the feasibility of a second phase of drilling at the Alwin-Mer properties during the fall exploration season.
GSP Resource Corp. remains optimistic about the potential for both high-grade gold and copper resources at Alwin. Principal and director Christopher I. Dyakowski expressed confidence in the ongoing exploration efforts, stating, "The rocks kept giving us reasons to keep drilling, and we are now poised to receive results that could redefine the project's potential."
The company will also evaluate a two-phase follow-up exploration program for the Olivine Mountain copper-gold-PGE property, as recommended in the 2020 NI 43-101 technical report. With a funded treasury and a robust drilling program underway, GSP Resource Corp. is well-positioned to deliver significant results in the upcoming exploration season.
