GUADALAJARA, Mexico, Sept. 11, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, S.A.B. de C.V. (NYSE: PAC; BMV: GAP) has secured a significant financial boost through the execution of bank credit facilities totaling Ps. 8,000 million. The company announced that these funds will be used primarily to pay off long-term debt certificates maturing in September and October 2026, as well as to finance capital expenditures under the Master Development Program for its airports in Mexico.
According to the press release, Ps. 4,258 million of the total credit will be allocated to repaying the "GAP22L" debt certificates, which are valued at Ps. 2,758 million and are due on September 21, 2026. Additionally, Ps. 1,500 million of the "GAP21-V" debt certificates, maturing on October 9, 2026, will also be paid off with the new credit. The remaining Ps. 3,742 million will be directed towards capital expenditures.
The credit facilities were established with a consortium of financial institutions, including Santander, BBVA, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, and Scotiabank. The terms of the credit range from six to twelve months, with certain facilities having an option to extend for an additional six months. The interest rate on these facilities is based on the Funding TIIE, a benchmark rate in Mexico, plus a weighted-average spread of 45 basis points.
Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico operates 12 airports across Mexico's Pacific region, including major cities such as Guadalajara and Tijuana, as well as tourist destinations like Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, La Paz, and Manzanillo. The company also manages airports in Hermosillo, Guanajuato, Morelia, Aguascalientes, Mexicali, and Los Mochis.
The company's expansion plans include significant capital expenditures aimed at enhancing its infrastructure and facilities. These investments are part of the Master Development Program, which is designed to improve the operational efficiency and passenger experience at the airports. The credit facilities will provide the necessary financial support to ensure that these projects can proceed as planned.
In a broader context, the acquisition of Desarrollo de Concessioner Aeroportuarias, S.L., which owns a majority stake in MBJ Airports Limited, and the subsequent operation of Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, Jamaica, further underscore the company's commitment to expanding its global presence. These strategic moves are expected to bolster GAP's financial position and operational capabilities, contributing to its long-term growth and stability.
The credit facilities will play a crucial role in managing the company's debt obligations and supporting its capital expenditure plans. By securing this funding, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico is well-positioned to continue its development initiatives and maintain its leadership in the Mexican aviation sector.
