(NYSE: PAC; BMV: GAP), reported an increase in passenger traffic for its Mexican airports in August 2026, marking a modest but steady growth in the aviation sector. The company's 12 airports saw a 2.6% rise in total passenger traffic compared to August 2025.

Among its Mexican operations, Guadalajara and Tijuana airports led the growth, recording increases of 10.5% and 1.2%, respectively. However, Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos airports experienced declines, with Puerto Vallarta seeing a 10.3% drop and Los Cabos experiencing a 6.2% decrease. The situation at Jamaica's airports was more mixed, with Kingston recording a 2.8% increase while Montego Bay reported a 23.0% decline.

Breaking down the numbers, the company noted that domestic passenger traffic increased, while international traffic faced challenges. For the month of August 2026, the availability of seats rose by 1.5% compared to the same month in 2025. Load factors, which measure how full planes were on average, dropped slightly from 84.0% in 2025 to 83.2% in 2026.

Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico operates 12 airports along Mexico's Pacific coast and in six mid-sized cities. The company's presence extends to Jamaica, where it operates the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston and shares ownership of Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay.

According to the press release, the company has implemented a whistleblower program to address suspected criminal conduct or violations. The program allows individuals to report issues anonymously and confidentially through various channels, including a hotline and email.
