GolfWiz AI Introduces 3D Avatar for Comprehensive Swing Analysis

GolfWiz AI has introduced a groundbreaking 3D avatar feature that allows golfers to view their swings from any angle, making it easier to identify and correct faults. This new tool addresses the limitations of traditional swing videos, which can only be viewed from one fixed viewpoint.

The 3D avatar is generated by rebuilding the golfer's body position frame by frame, using standard video footage as low as 26 frames per second (fps). This process, which is handled on the company's servers, ensures that the avatar is ready in under five seconds. Unlike other video-based 3D swing tools that often rely on slow-motion footage, GolfWiz AI's solution works seamlessly on both iPhone and Android devices, making it accessible to a wide range of users.

The 3D avatar can be used in conjunction with GolfWiz AI's existing swing analysis, which includes fault detection, follow-along AI drills, tempo feedback, and swing metrics that report body measurements such as shoulder turn, pelvis sway, and spine angle throughout the swing. Golfers can pan and zoom the 3D avatar to view their swings from behind, above, or from the target side, and check their form at any of the app's P1 to P12 swing phases, which include address, the takeaway, backswing, downswing, impact, release, follow-through, and finish.

GolfWiz AI's 3D avatar is not a replacement for the fault findings but an additional way to review a swing. The app also analyzes putting and chipping (bump-and-run shots) faults and tempo, along with drills to fix them. The app features a metronome to practice swing and putting with 3:1 and 2:1 rhythm, offering various tempo options.

According to Datta, most golfers film their swings from one angle because that's all they have. The 3D avatar allows them to turn the model around and get a second look at the same swing without the need for a second camera or a second session. This feature is particularly useful for golfers who want to improve their technique without the need for additional equipment or sessions.

The app is designed for both amateur and professional golfers and is available on the App Store and Google Play. With its comprehensive analysis tools and the new 3D avatar feature, GolfWiz AI continues to provide golfers with the tools they need to enhance their game.
