The bank has achieved a 61% increase in digital banking logins and a 63X return on investment from data-driven marketing, among other impressive figures.

According to a case study released by Alkami, Gate City Bank began its journey with Alkami by selecting the Digital Banking Platform to modernize its digital experience and lay the groundwork for long-term growth. After evaluating more than 35 providers, the bank chose Alkami to help it streamline the account holder journey from origination and onboarding through digital banking into one connected experience.

Since implementing the Alkami Digital Sales & Service Platform, Gate City Bank has launched over 60 targeted campaigns, influencing more than 29,000 customers and generating over $541 million in cross-sell opportunities. The bank has also seen a 4.9 app store rating, reflecting a 20% increase in digital banking users. Additionally, the bank has prevented $650,000 in fraud losses over the past six months by leveraging Alkami's partner ecosystem, particularly BioCatch, which has achieved a 97% account takeover capture rate.

Beyond digital banking, Gate City Bank has expanded its commercial banking capabilities. The bank has increased its treasury ACH origination customers by 47.7% without adding full-time employees. Furthermore, the bank launched MANTL Retail Account Opening in March 2026, reducing the average online retail account opening time to just 4.65 minutes while providing employees with greater visibility into the application process.

For more than 100 years, Gate City Bank has been a cornerstone of the North Dakota community, employing over 770 people at 45 locations across 23 communities. The bank has donated $49.7 million in philanthropic giving and nearly 370,000 volunteer hours since 2003, with significant contributions made in 2025, including $4.5 million and over 31,000 volunteer hours.

This partnership with Alkami marks a pivotal moment for Gate City Bank, as it continues to innovate and grow its digital banking platform, enhancing customer engagement and security while driving significant financial returns.
