FTI Consulting Hires Jeffrey Hecht to Lead Private Equity Services

WASHINGTON, Sept. 29, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- FTI Consulting, Inc., a leading global expert firm for organizations facing crisis and transformation, has announced the hiring of Jeffrey Hecht as a Senior Managing Director to lead the firm’s Private Equity Tax and Advisory Services. Hecht, who is based in Miami, will oversee the growth of the practice that serves private equity and multi-asset managers in advising on transactions, fund formation, portfolio acquisitions and divestitures, tax planning, and compliance. With over three decades of experience, Hecht has served as the lead partner for some of the largest global private equity firms.
In his new role at FTI Consulting, Hecht will work with sponsors and portfolio companies to build tax-efficient fund and deal structures, support acquisitions and divestitures, and manage compliance and planning throughout the investment period, helping clients protect and enhance economic performance.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Hecht served as the Global and Americas Private Equity Tax Leader at EY. He also founded and served as co-managing partner at Wave Energy Capital, an energy investment firm, and served as the New York Financial Services Real Estate Tax Leader at KPMG. Hecht is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and Florida and serves on the Frank G. Zarb School of Business Dean’s Advisory Board at Hofstra University and co-chairs its Department of Accounting Advisory Board.
