FastGPT Releases Updated Versions to Enhance Workflow and Deployment

FastGPT, an open-source AI orchestration platform, has rolled out several updates to its software, including versions 4.16.0, 4.8.10, and 4.9.2. These updates focus on enhancing workflow design and self-hosted deployment, offering improvements that cater to both developers and users.

Among the core workflow updates, version 4.16.0 introduces automatic edge and center alignment for dragged nodes, which simplifies the process of creating visual workflows. Additionally, a user selection node has been added, enabling conditional branching via Confirm/Cancel prompts. This feature is designed for workflow use only and is incompatible with plugins or tool calls, with Debug mode unsupported. Local editing history with undo/redo shortcuts and the ability to rename workflow versions are also part of the update.

Deployment adjustments include revised image tags for core and commercial services. Users are advised to review updated environment variables for sandbox proxy and resource limits. Notably, E2B-related variables have been deprecated, and mandatory migration scripts are required for existing Agent Sandbox data. The platform has also introduced knowledge base chunking optimizations with custom delimiters and larger chunk sizes, as well as SSO migration support. Community-contributed database migration tutorials are available for users.

While the updates aim to enhance the platform, certain limitations and known issues persist. Cross-origin sandbox deployment is strongly recommended to avoid security risks, though no origin isolation check is enforced. Community-reported issues, such as loop node termination failures and code sandbox startup errors on certain Synology DSM kernels, are not addressed in this update.
