Ezurio Announces Carbon AM67 System-on-Module for High-Performance Applications

AKRON, Ohio, Sept. 4, 2026, Ezurio, a leading provider of embedded compute and connectivity solutions, has announced the Carbon AM67 System-on-Module (SOM), a robust platform designed for high-performance commercial, industrial, and medical applications. Built on the Texas Instruments (TI) AM67x processor family, the Carbon AM67 integrates advanced AI, graphics, and security features, making it a versatile choice for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

The Carbon AM67 SOM combines the power of the TI AM67x processor with Ezurio's Sona™ TI351 wireless module, which includes TI's CC3351 Wi-Fi 6® and Bluetooth® LE companion IC. This module also incorporates the TPS65224 PMIC, LPDDR4 RAM, and eMMC storage in a compact 45 × 30 mm form factor, ensuring scalability and flexibility. The SOM supports up to three independent displays, with resolutions up to 3840 × 1080, and features a tablet-class GPU capable of 50 GFLOPs, supporting OpenGL ES 3.2 and Vulkan 1.2. Additionally, it includes hardware-accelerated 4K60 video encode/decode capabilities.

Ezurio's EZ BSP (Board Support Package) is a key component of the Carbon AM67. It provides a secure and flexible platform, with features such as secure boot, secure signing, and long-term security support. The package is based on an open-source foundation, including Yocto and Buildroot, ensuring no vendor lock-in.

The Carbon AM67 supports up to three independent displays, each capable of 3840 × 1080 resolution, along with a tablet-class GPU that delivers 50 GFLOPs and supports OpenGL ES 3.2 and Vulkan 1.2. It also features a quad MIPI-CSI-2 camera interface, capable of up to 16 virtual channels, with a 600 MP/s image signal processor for complex multi-camera vision pipelines. Two on-board Deep Learning Accelerators provide up to 4 TOPS of total edge AI performance.

The platform includes four 1.4 GHz Arm Cortex-A53 application cores and three 800 MHz Arm Cortex-R5F MCU cores, allowing simultaneous operation of Linux and real-time operating systems. It also supports secure and encrypted boot, a dedicated secure enclave, and secure file storage, with additional EZ BSP Chain of Trust and security-driven BSP releases.
