SELLERSVILLE, Pa., Nov. 3, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- exida, a global leader in industrial automation and control system (IACS) cybersecurity, has unveiled a new software tool designed to simplify compliance with the European Union's Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). The tool, exSILentia® CRA, aims to streamline the evaluation and documentation processes for connected-device manufacturers, ensuring they meet the December 2027 deadline.

The Cyber Resilience Act, set to take effect in December 2027, mandates that manufacturers of connected devices must undergo rigorous product-level assessments to prove conformity. Central to this process is the Threat Analysis & Risk Assessment (TARA), which requires manufacturers to identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks based on the specific requirements of the selected harmonized standard or Annex I. This process can be complex and time-consuming, especially for manufacturers with large product portfolios.

To address this challenge, exida has developed exSILentia® CRA, a structured, template-driven engineering tool embedded within the company’s industry-leading exSILentia® platform. The tool preloads an industry-standard risk matrix and pre-defined mitigations from harmonized standards, allowing product developers to focus on building features rather than navigating the complexities of cybersecurity legislation.

Exida, which was the world's first accredited cybersecurity Certification Body (2011) and a co-author of foundational textbooks like ISA/IEC 62443, has been working to ensure that manufacturers can meet the new regulatory requirements. The company’s deep domain expertise in IACS cybersecurity, combined with the exSILentia® CRA tool, aims to reduce the time and effort required for manufacturers to achieve compliance.

The tool is available immediately in the exSILentia® software suite. Manufacturers can visit the exida website to learn more about how exSILentia® CRA can streamline their CRA product compliance efforts. While the software tool is designed to assist manufacturers with CRA-related assessments and documentation, it does not guarantee compliance with the EU Cyber Resilience Act, nor does it constitute or result in certification or conformity assessment.

With the enforcement deadline just over two years away, exida’s exSILentia® CRA is poised to be a valuable resource for manufacturers seeking to navigate the complexities of the new regulations.
