Ecuador has unveiled a new promotional strategy aimed at attracting international travelers to its diverse landscapes, combining the allure of the Galápagos, the Andes, the Amazon, and the coast into a single, unmissable destination. The National Government of Ecuador is leading this initiative, which builds on the success of the country’s activations at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The campaign, titled "All The World, Only in Ecuador," highlights the country’s unique blend of natural wonders and cultural richness. Ecuador offers a journey through four distinct worlds: the Galápagos Islands, the Andean peaks, the Amazon rainforest, and the coastal regions. Each region presents a distinct experience, from the volcanic islands and unique species of the Galápagos to the cloud forests and biodiversity of the Andes, and the rich cultural heritage and gastronomy of the coast.
The Andes, home to the highest peak in Ecuador, Chimborazo, at 6,263 meters, offers a diverse array of landscapes, including the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Quito and Cuenca. The cloud forests near Quito, part of the Chocó Andino, are a haven for nature enthusiasts, with their rich biodiversity and endemic species.
In the Amazon, visitors can explore the Yasuní and Cuyabeno reserves, where they can immerse themselves in the rainforest’s ecosystems, navigate its rivers, and engage with local communities that preserve traditional knowledge and ways of life. The Ecuadorian coast, with its beaches, mangroves, and dry forests, offers a different kind of adventure, including surfing and whale watching, alongside a rich culinary heritage.
Ecuador’s tourism strategy is part of a broader effort to diversify its international presence and attract new markets. The campaign, which took place in the United States, particularly in New York, utilized a range of promotional tactics, including experiential activations, outdoor advertising, and a digital presence. According to Claudia Ugarte from Branding Latin America, more than 80,000 people engaged with the tourism promotion activations, and the campaign achieved 27.6 million impressions on massive digital screens in Times Square and Queens.
These efforts are part of a long-term strategy to expand Ecuador’s tourism offerings and strengthen its position as a diverse, authentic, and sustainable destination. The country’s participation in high-visibility international platforms, such as the FIFA World Cup 2026, has allowed it to present itself to new audiences and showcase its unique blend of natural beauty and cultural richness.
