Earnhardt Family Donates $75,000 to St. Vincent de Paul

On September 9, 2026, the Earnhardt Family celebrated 75 years of service to the Arizona community by making a significant donation to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Arizona. The family presented a $75,000 check to the nonprofit organization during a ceremony at their main campus in Phoenix, marking a milestone in both the company’s history and its ongoing commitment to community support.

Bull Earnhardt, a member of the family, explained that the donation was made in memory of their founder, Tex Earnhardt, who had a deep-rooted passion for helping those in need. "When we decided which organizations needed our financial support, we knew that our grandfather would want us to include St. Vincent de Paul," said Bull Earnhardt. "The work of the Society is vital to the well-being of so many people, and we've all been fans of the good work they do."

Shannon Clancy, CEO of The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, expressed her gratitude for the unexpected gift. "Their kindness to St. Vincent de Paul and to so many organizations throughout our community has made such an impact over many years," she said. "This generous $75,000 gift will help us continue to feed, clothe, house, and heal people and families facing difficult circumstances."

The donation was part of a broader series of anniversary gifts from Earnhardt Auto Centers. In previous years, the company had supported organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club, Child Crisis Arizona, Ava’s Treehouse at the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children, Make-A-Wish Arizona, St. Mary’s Food Bank, the 100 Club of Arizona, and the Arizona Humane Society. According to Dodge Earnhardt, the company’s founder's grandson, "Few organizations have as wide a reach as St. Vincent de Paul. Their work touches so many lives, and their services are especially important as more families across the region struggle to make ends meet."

Dodge, along with his brothers Hal Earnhardt III and Jim Babe Earnhardt, emphasized the importance of giving back to the community that has supported the family for over seven decades. "Dad always showed us that you can't have a strong community if you don't do your part," said Hal Earnhardt III. "It's important that we mark our 75th anniversary by giving back to organizations that have such a meaningful impact on Arizona communities. We're proud to continue that tradition."

Earnhardt Auto Centers, founded in 1951 by Hal Earnhardt Jr. ("Tex Earnhardt"), has grown into one of the most prominent privately owned auto dealer groups in the United States. Known for their "No Bull" slogan, the company operates 17 new car dealerships, representing 15 brands, and remains locally owned and operated by multiple generations of the Earnhardt Family and over 2,000 loyal, dedicated employees.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Phoenix, established in 1946, is dedicated to serving people in need and providing the community with the opportunity to serve. The organization operates a network of more than 80 neighborhood food pantries, four charity dining rooms, transitional shelters, family support services, bill assistance, and homelessness prevention programming, as well as a charity clinic with medical, dental, and wellness care for the uninsured.

The donation ceremony took place at 2120 S 3rd Drive in Phoenix. Attendees were advised to park in the solar-panel covered parking lot and proceed to the main entrance near the statue of St. Vincent de Paul.

This donation underscores the long-standing tradition of community service and philanthropy that has defined the Earnhardt Family and their business for over seven decades.
