Diabeloop, a French company developing self-learning algorithms for automated insulin delivery, has completed its balance sheet restructuring and is now poised to advance its technology in the diabetes management market. The company announced this milestone on October 21, 2026, in a press release.

Grenoble, France - October 21, 2026 - Diabeloop has emerged from safeguard proceedings, which were initiated in October 2025 to restructure the company's debt. The restructuring was approved by the Grenoble court on October 13, 2026. This decision marks a new chapter for the company as it continues its European rollout of DBLG2, its self-learning automated insulin delivery algorithm, and prepares for expanded features and indications.

DBLG2, available through an app on compatible smartphones, integrates with continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps to automate and personalize insulin delivery. The company has already secured FDA 510(k) clearance for DBLG2 as an interoperable automated glycemic controller in December 2025, and the product is now commercially available in the United States with the Kaleido (ViCentra) and Dana-i (Sooil) AID systems.

In July 2026, Diabeloop expanded the availability of DBLG2 in Germany, marking a significant step in the commercial rollout of its smartphone-based technology. Additionally, the company enhanced the connectivity of its DBLG1 system in France, allowing users to synchronize their system data with a remote monitoring platform used by healthcare professionals.

Looking ahead, Diabeloop is focusing on three key areas. First, the company plans to bring DBLG2 to iOS smartphones by the end of 2026, expanding its user base. Second, Diabeloop is developing new features that will simplify meal declaration, reducing the burden of carbohydrate counting for patients while maintaining optimal glucose control. Third, the company is working on extending its indications to include Type 2 diabetes, broadening the potential user base for its technology.

Diabeloop will continue to collaborate with its partners, including ViCentra, Dexcom, Sooil, Terumo, Sequel Medtech, and healthcare professionals, to make automated insulin delivery more accessible and easier to use. The company's focus on innovation and patient-centric solutions positions it well for future growth and expansion in the diabetes management market.
