New York, NY, Nov. 03, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- DEY. Ideas + Influence has been appointed as the communications and advisory partner for The Nature Record, an independent scientific assessment of the nation’s lands, waters, wildlife, and biodiversity. This partnership is part of DEY.’s ongoing efforts to address climate and environmental challenges, following its work on climate resilience, extreme heat, nature-based solutions, and carbon removal.

The Nature Record began in 2022 as the National Nature Assessment, a federal initiative. However, the project was cancelled in January 2025. Despite this setback, the scientists and experts involved continued their work independently, renaming the project The Nature Record. A draft of the assessment was released for public comment and peer review in March 2026, and it underwent an independent review by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.

DEY. will develop the positioning and narrative for the assessment, build and train a coordinated group of spokespeople, and engage with media for the launch and subsequent rollout. The firm will also advise on op-eds, speaking opportunities, and convenings. The work is aimed at policymakers, business and finance leaders, funders, health systems, educators, and the general public.

Prepared by more than 170 scientists and experts, The Nature Record reports on the condition of the nation’s lands, waters, wildlife, and biodiversity and on the benefits they provide for the economy, health, culture, security, and climate. The assessment aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the state of nature and its impact on various sectors of society, thereby informing decision-making processes.

DEY. does not organize its practice around a single issue. Its clients work in climate and environment, health and medicine, science and technology, artificial intelligence, business and economics, philanthropy and development, and education. For The Nature Record, the firm will bring the assessment to health, business, finance, and policy audiences, as well as those who already follow environmental science.
