SAN DIEGO, Sept. 28, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Datasparc Inc., a provider of Zero Trust database security and access solutions, has expanded its DBHawk platform with the addition of Hawk AI and the Hawk AI MCP Server. These new features enable artificial intelligence (AI) agents to access enterprise data in a governed and audited manner, all while running within the customer's own infrastructure.

Hawk AI, a natural-language interface to databases, allows users to ask questions of their data in plain language. The system then writes the SQL, executes it, and returns charts and tables. This expands on the text-to-SQL feature Datasparc introduced in 2024. Unlike other AI tools that send schema and data to a shared, third-party service, Hawk AI runs entirely within the customer's environment. It supports a bring-your-own-model approach, using local models via Ollama or Azure OpenAI in the customer's own tenant. Prompts, schema, and results never leave the environment, ensuring data security.

DBHawk's existing access controls and dynamic data masking are applied to AI-generated queries, ensuring that the AI can only see the data the requesting user is permitted to see. This feature is particularly important for companies that want to leverage AI on their data without compromising security or risking a breach or failed audit.

The Hawk AI MCP Server implements the Model Context Protocol, allowing any MCP-compatible agent or assistant to query databases through DBHawk's governed tools instead of a raw connection. Each agent uses a scoped, role-based token, and every request passes through access control, masking, and read-only limits. Each action is audited per agent, maintaining Zero Trust database access even for automation.

DBHawk provides passwordless, least-privilege access across more than 20 databases, including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, MongoDB, IBM Db2, and SAP HANA. The platform supports single sign-on (SSO), secrets-vault integration, and audit streaming to Datadog and Splunk. DBHawk holds SOC 2 Type II compliance and supports GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, and PCI-DSS programs.
