Cymphony Launches AI Governance Platform with $30 Million Funding

Cymphony, backed by Sequoia Capital and SMBC Fin Atlas Beyond Fund, has launched with $30 million in funding to address the growing need for security and governance in the enterprise workforce, particularly as AI agents increasingly interact with sensitive data and critical systems.

The launch comes as the enterprise workforce is evolving to include AI agents, alongside human employees. According to the 2026 Microsoft Work Trend Index, organizations are entering the era of "human-agent teams," where employees and AI agents collaborate to execute daily tasks. However, Gartner's 2026 Hype Cycle for Agentic AI identifies governance and security as significant barriers to the adoption of enterprise AI. Cymphony aims to provide a platform that helps security teams manage and secure this new layer of enterprise data access.

It prioritizes the risks that matter most, recommends or automates remediation where possible, and coordinates the remaining work by engaging the right employees, tracking progress, and driving security actions to completion from a single platform.

Cymphony was founded by cybersecurity entrepreneurs Shy Dekel, Idan Berkovits, and Edi Gotlieb, all graduates of Israel's rigorous Talpiot Program and veterans of elite technical roles within Israeli defense and intelligence. Dekel, the company's CEO, spent nearly six years in Unit 8200, rising to Head of the Cyber Department. Gotlieb brings hardware engineering experience from Apple and the Israeli Ministry of Defense, and Berkovits served as a Research Group Manager in the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel.
