CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Oct. 27, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- CREATE Medicines, a clinical-stage biotechnology company, is set to host a pre-congress workshop and present at the Asia-Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR) 2026 Congress, which takes place from October 28 to November 1, 2026, at COEX Convention & Exhibition Center in Seoul, South Korea. The company's focus is on in vivo CAR-T therapy, a promising approach to treating autoimmune diseases.

The event will bring together leading experts in the field, including Prof. Cameron Turtle of The University of Sydney and Prof. Georg Schett of Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. The workshop will explore the evolution of CAR-T therapy from bespoke cell therapy to reproducible medicine, focusing on its practical applications in autoimmunity, biomarkers of cytokine release syndrome, and the science of in vivo CAR-T. The session will conclude with a moderated panel and live audience Q&A, chaired by Daniel Getts, PhD, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CREATE.

Adam Raff, MD, PhD, SVP of Autoimmune Clinical Development at CREATE, will present on October 31, 2026, during the congress's Abstract Session 2. The presentation will take place from 14:25 to 14:35 KST, including Q&A, in Room 203, Level 2, COEX Convention & Exhibition Center, Seoul.

CRT-402, CREATE's lead autoimmune program, is a CD19-targeted in vivo CAR-T therapy delivered using the company's proprietary mRNA-LNP platform. The therapy is designed to enable deep B cell depletion and immune reset, offering the potential advantages of repeat dosing and an off-the-shelf administration paradigm. CRT-402 is currently in a first-in-human Phase 1/2 clinical study in Australia, evaluating its safety and efficacy in patients with lupus, systemic sclerosis, and myositis (NCT07778446).

Daniel Getts, PhD, Co-Founder and CEO of CREATE, expressed confidence in the potential of in vivo CAR-T therapy.

The APLAR 2026 Congress will provide a platform for CREATE to showcase its advancements and engage with the broader scientific community. The company's participation underscores its commitment to advancing in vivo CAR therapy and transforming outcomes in autoimmune diseases. CRT-402 is built to deliver the immune reset seen with ex vivo CAR-T, entirely in vivo. Using CREATE's targeted mRNA-LNP platform, CRT-402 programs a patient's own T cells directly inside the body to clear disease-causing B cells from the blood and the tissues where they drive disease, with no ex vivo cell manufacturing and no lymphodepleting chemotherapy.

The workshop and presentation will feature discussions on the path from bespoke therapy to reproducible medicine, practical realities of CAR-T in autoimmunity, biomarkers of cytokine release syndrome, and the science of in vivo CAR-T. The speakers will include Prof. Cameron Turtle, MBBS, PhD, CLEARbridge Chair of Cancer Immunotherapy, The University of Sydney, Australia; Prof. Georg Schett, MD, Vice President of Research, Director of the Department of Medicine, Rheumatology and Immunology, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany; and Prof. Shirley Chan, MBBS, Clinical Assistant Professor in Rheumatology, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR.

The event will also include a moderated panel and live audience Q&A, providing a forum for in-depth discussions and audience engagement.

The company's focus on in vivo CAR-T therapy reflects its commitment to advancing treatment options for autoimmune diseases. CRT-402 is designed to bring the immune reset seen with ex vivo CAR-T to a broader patient population, offering the potential for repeat dosing and an off-the-shelf administration paradigm. The workshop and presentation at APLAR 2026 Congress will provide a platform for CREATE to share its latest advancements and engage with the broader scientific community.
