COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho, Oct. 27, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Star Gold Corp. has secured a long-term lease on substantial water rights, a significant milestone for the development of its flagship Longstreet Gold Project in Nevada. This achievement clears a key hurdle in the project's advancement, paving the way for detailed design engineering and permitting processes.

The lease covers 2,471 acre feet of water rights, more than sufficient to support the company's current plans and future growth. According to preliminary water balance work, the project's annual water consumption for planned operations is estimated at approximately 600 acre feet per year. With a 30% contingency applied, the total annual requirement is roughly 720 acre feet per year. This margin ensures the project can operate through dry year conditions without curtailment and accommodates the higher demand that will accompany the confirmation of new resources.

Lindsay Gorrill, Chief Executive Officer of Star Gold Corp., emphasized the importance of securing these water rights.

The Longstreet Project, located approximately 57 miles northeast of Tonopah in the prolific Walker Lane Belt region of Nevada, spans approximately 2,600 acres and comprises 137 unpatented mining claims and 5 additional unpatented claims held under lease with an option to purchase. Star Gold Corp. is committed to advancing the technical studies and documentation required to support a potential Environmental Impact Statement and move toward production, with a focus on responsible exploration and sustainable development.

With water rights in hand, the company can now advance detailed design engineering on a fixed supply assumption, removing a recurring qualification from the project's development path. This will allow engineering and permitting workstreams to proceed in parallel, ensuring a smoother and more efficient development process.

The lease covers a substantial volume of water, more than three times the company's contingency-adjusted annual requirement. This margin is deliberate and carries the project through dry year conditions without curtailment, absorbs the higher demand that accompanies expanded throughput as new resources are confirmed, and leaves capacity available to support development beyond the current Longstreet mine plan.

With water rights secured, Star Gold Corp. can now focus on advancing the Longstreet Gold Project with greater certainty and flexibility. The company's commitment to responsible exploration and sustainable development remains a cornerstone of its operations, and the water lease is a critical step in achieving these goals.
