CHIME Announces New Leadership for 2027 and 2028

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Sept. 23, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has announced significant leadership changes aimed at guiding the organization through the next decade. Effective January 1, 2027, the board of trustees will welcome three new members, and Eli Tarlow will join the CHIME Foundation Board of Directors. Additionally, Zafar Chaudry will take the helm as the 2027 Chairperson, while Matthew Kull, Andy Crowder, and Deborah Muro will serve as the 2028 officers.

Bonnie Boles, MD, MBA, CHCIO, CDH-E, will join as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Information Officer at Tanner Health. Sarah Hatchett, MBA, CHCIO, CDH-E, will step in as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Cleveland Clinic. Inderpal Kohli, MS, PMP, CHCIO, CDH-E, will become the Chief Information Officer at University Hospitals. These new members bring a wealth of experience in healthcare technology, clinical transformation, and executive leadership.

Eli Tarlow, CHCIO, CDH-E, will serve as the new CHIME Foundation Board Director, leveraging his experience in healthcare strategy at CDW. Tarlow's role will be crucial in fostering collaboration and thought leadership within the healthcare community.

Zafar Chaudry, MD, will lead the CHIME Board of Trustees as the 2027 Chairperson. Dr. Chaudry will guide the organization through a period of rapid innovation and transformation in healthcare. He will be supported by the newly elected officers, who will help provide strategic oversight and governance.

Matthew Kull, CHCIO, CDH-E, will serve as the 2028 Chairperson, Executive Vice President, and Chief Information and Digital Strategy Officer at Inova Health. Andy Crowder, CHCIO, CDH-E, will take on the role of Treasurer, Senior Vice President, and Chief Digital and AI Officer at Advocate Health. Deborah Muro, CHCIO, CDH-E, will become the Secretary, Chief Information Officer at El Camino Health.
