Chainguard Surpasses 1 Billion Container Build Manifests

Chainguard, the leading provider of open source solutions, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 1 billion unique container build manifests. This marks a substantial increase from the 500 million build manifests recorded just six months ago, reflecting a doubling of the company’s build volume.

The Chainguard Containers catalog now features over 3,000 unique container images, a 33% increase from the 2,000 images reported in March 2026. These milestones highlight the company’s commitment to accelerating the development and deployment of secure, production-ready artifacts.

Through Chainguard Factory, the company has delivered over 1 billion build manifests in the past six months alone. This includes a broad catalog of 3,000+ unique container images, with 1,000 new projects added to the catalog in the last six months. The company also offers 675,000+ image variants, ensuring broad platform coverage and rapid availability of new versions.
