Centalion Deploys AI Agent to Enhance Treasury Operations Efficiency

GENEVA, Oct. 14, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Centalion, a leading independent commodity trader, has integrated artificial intelligence (AI) into its treasury operations, significantly enhancing efficiency and maintaining strict governance. The company partnered with Komgo, a digital trade finance platform provider, to deploy an AI Treasury Agent that processes trade finance instruments through natural language instructions, while ensuring all control and approval steps remain intact.

Centalion has relied on Komgo's Konsole for over five years as the central platform for managing its off-balance sheet instruments across various banking counterparties. Despite the digital infrastructure, the treasury team still had to navigate between systems to retrieve data, validate information, and chase status updates. To streamline this process, Centalion built and governed an AI Treasury Agent within its own cloud environment, combining a large language model with structured treasury workflows and facility-specific business rules.

The AI agent connects to Konsole via Komgo's MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector, allowing Centalion to retain control of its AI and orchestration logic while securely interacting with Komgo's trade finance infrastructure. This deployment has already yielded tangible results, with issuance processing time cut by around 55%, and amendment processing time reduced by approximately 80%. Once extended across Centalion's full trade finance activity, this is projected to free more than 60 working days of treasury capacity each year, enabling the team to focus on risk oversight, facility optimization, and financing strategy.

This deployment marks a significant step in the integration of AI into treasury operations, showcasing the potential for enhanced efficiency and governance in the financial sector.
