Bertram Capital Sells Tactacam to GTCR

FOSTER CITY, Calif., Sept. 30, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Bertram Capital has completed the sale of its portfolio company, Tactacam, to GTCR. This marks the first exit from Bertram Capital Fund V, the firm's 2023-vintage flagship fund. While specific terms of the transaction were not disclosed, the sale represents a significant milestone for both Bertram Capital and Tactacam.
Headquartered in Billings, Montana, Tactacam is a leader in cellular-connected camera technology for outdoor and security markets. The company's flagship REVEAL brand is a category-leading line of cellular trail cameras trusted by hunters and land managers nationwide. Tactacam's Defend brand extends the same cellular platform into property security, providing live-view monitoring of homes, gates, barns, job sites, and other remote locations without the need for Wi-Fi, wiring, or professional installation.

The transaction was facilitated by J.P. Morgan, serving as the financial advisor to Bertram, and the sale process was overseen by legal counsel from Latham & Watkins and Ashurst Perkins Coie.

The firm focuses on investments in lower-middle-market companies, with a particular emphasis on industrial, business services, and consumer sectors with more than $7.5 million of EBITDA.
