Windfall Geotek Renews Claims for AI-Driven Zinc Exploration in Bathurst Mining Camp

Windfall Geotek, a leader in the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning for mineral discovery since 2005, has announced the renewal of its claims on 592 hectares in the Bathurst Mining Camp (BMC) in New Brunswick. The company generated AI zinc targets for the VMS-1 Upper Sprig Brook property, which was staked in September 2025 for its VMS (An-Cu-AgAu) potential based on an AI targeting study of the BMC.

The VMS-1 Upper Sprig Brook property is located approximately 14 kilometers east-south-east from the VMS Heath Steele Mines and 6 kilometers south from the VMS Captain Deposit. It is accessible via Highway 430 and through secondary logging roads branching off the highway. The property is part of a broader exploration effort in the BMC, an area known for its rich mineral deposits.

Windfall Geotek used a set of 694 variables built from 1995 Multiparameter (magnetic, radiometric, electromagnetic) and 2004 MEGATEM Surveys, gridded to a 50-meter cell size, which corresponds to 1,363,428 data points. The company utilized 26,887 zinc and copper assays as learning data, sourced from various government and private databases, including the New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Energy, Votorantim Metals Canada, and data compiled by Windfall Geotek.

The geological setting of the VMS-1 Upper Sprig Brook property is principally underlain by rocks of the Tetagouche Group, which includes felsic volcanics of the Nepisiquit Falls Formation and Flat Landing Brook Formation in fault contact with the mafic volcanics of the Boucher Brook Formation. Exploration activities on the property and its vicinity have been ongoing since 1953, with a total of 37 holes drilled to test MEGATEM II Time Domain Airborne Electromagnetic (EM) anomalies.

Historic drill results from the property include: - Hole B-3 (1953): 9.2% Zn, 0.44% Cu, and 170 g/t Ag - Hole B-23 (1953): 4.8% Zn, 0.47% Cu, and 100 g/t Ag - Hole A72-5 (1972): 0.2% Zn, 0.6% Cu, and 4 g/t Ag - Hole SB-05-03 (2005): 0.27% Cu and 0.21% Cu over 0.4 meters
