Bausch Health has expanded its skin resurfacing technology to Australia, introducing the Fraxel FTX® to health care practitioners on September 1, 2026. This advanced device, part of the company’s Solta Medical division, builds upon more than two decades of innovation in the field.

Fraxel FTX® is the latest iteration of the Fraxel® platform, designed to enhance treatment precision, workflow efficiency, and patient comfort. According to Jiny Kim, Senior Vice President of Solta Medical at Bausch Health, the new system combines trusted technology with meaningful improvements to support modern aesthetic practices.

“Fraxel FTX builds on the established performance of the Fraxel platform, offering enhancements that are specifically tailored to today’s clinical needs,” Kim said. The technology is intended to address common skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, pigmented lesions, acne and surgical scars, and actinic keratosis.

Key features of the Fraxel FTX® include dual wavelength capabilities, allowing for precise treatment at different tissue depths. The system employs Intelligent Optical Tracking™ with AccuTRAC® to ensure consistent and efficient laser firing, while a redesigned ergonomic handpiece and integrated cooling system aim to improve patient comfort and ease of use.

Alistair McKeon, General Manager of Solta Medical in Australia and New Zealand, emphasized the versatility and clinical heritage of the Fraxel FTX®. “This updated platform continues to support ease of use, treatment consistency, and patient comfort in everyday practice,” he stated.

The Fraxel FTX® is indicated for a range of dermatological procedures, including skin resurfacing, treatment of dyschromia, and acne and surgical scars. It is designed to provide a comprehensive solution for addressing common skin concerns, contributing to overall skin health.

Solta Medical also offers additional support to health care practitioners, including clinical education, practical training, and ongoing business support. These resources are aimed at helping practitioners enhance their treatment delivery and support long-term practice growth.

Trademarked by Solta Medical, Inc. or its affiliates, the Fraxel FTX® represents a significant advancement in skin resurfacing technology, providing Australian practitioners with a powerful tool to improve patient outcomes.
