Avricore Health Expands Cholesterol Testing Program Nationally

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 01, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Avricore Health Inc. (TSXV: AVCR) has announced the national expansion of the Barts Health pharmacy cholesterol testing programme across England, powered by the company’s HealthTab™ platform. The initiative will roll out to approximately 100 pharmacies across the country starting this fall, with the goal of identifying cardiovascular risk earlier and reducing the incidence of heart attacks and strokes.

This expansion follows the successful north London programme, which tested 2,493 patients across 61 community pharmacies from January 2025 to March 2026. Nineteen percent of the patients were identified as being at high risk of a heart attack or stroke within the next decade, with patients receiving clinical advice and, where necessary, referrals for treatment. At least 88 patients subsequently began statin therapy, indicating the programme's potential to significantly impact patient outcomes.

The national expansion has garnered significant media attention, including coverage in The Guardian, which highlighted the NHS's plan to introduce free high-street cholesterol testing in pharmacies across England.
