Aviatrix Launches Post-Quantum Protection for Cloud Security

Santa Clara, Calif., Sept. 22, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Aviatrix, a pioneering provider of Cloud Native Security Fabric, today announced the launch of Harvest and Decrypt Protection, the first post-quantum protection that encrypts and simultaneously governs what a compromised workload can reach. This innovative solution marks a significant step forward in the realm of cloud security, as federal civilian agencies are mandated to file post-quantum migration plans by October 22, and major cloud providers are expected to reach the same point in the near future.

The Aviatrix Cloud Native Security Fabric, which is already quantum-safe, now offers post-quantum encryption and Communication Governance as one policy on the same enforcement point, in software. This new offering is particularly noteworthy given the looming deadline for federal civilian agencies to file their migration plans, which is set for October 22. Moreover, it arrives well before the major cloud providers are expected to reach the same point.

Google and Microsoft have both published roadmaps for full quantum readiness in 2029, indicating that these companies are well ahead of the curve. However, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has not provided a specific target date for achieving full quantum readiness, instead directing customers to regulatory deadlines. This approach has raised concerns about the security posture of AWS, as it may not be fully prepared for the challenges posed by quantum computing.

Aviatrix’s new crypto-agile encryption technology makes captured traffic unreadable to a future quantum computer. This is coupled with Communication Governance, including egress governance, which closes the paths data leaves through today. This approach not only protects data in transit but also prevents adversaries from intercepting and stockpiling valuable data through ungoverned egress paths.

Most post-quantum solutions address the algorithm and stop there, leaving data vulnerable to interception and stockpiling. Aviatrix’s approach addresses both the algorithm and the governance of egress paths, making it a comprehensive solution.

The company’s new offerings are designed to be accessible to existing Aviatrix customers, with the first five policies and five nodes being free. Enterprises can start by conducting a free Containment Assessment, which tests five properties of the cloud estate and returns a provisional Blast Radius and a harvest exposure read in about five minutes. Enterprises can then proceed to the Containment Assessment level 2, a read-only, agentless engagement against live runtime flows that sizes it in dollars as Reachable Value at Risk, before a single policy is written.

Aviatrix’s Harvest and Decrypt Protection is free to start for existing Aviatrix customers, and new customers can try Aviatrix for 30 days, free of charge, to assess their needs before making a commitment. The company is also collaborating with Microsoft on the Quantum Safe program, using the network traffic and Harvest Now, Decrypt Later containment solution to complement quantum-safe partners in certificate management and device posture.

The launch of Harvest and Decrypt Protection comes amidst a flurry of deadlines and regulatory requirements. Executive Order 14412 sets December 31, 2030, for post-quantum key establishment and December 31, 2031, for digital signatures on high-value assets and high-impact systems, requiring federal contractors to meet post-quantum standards by December 31, 2030. Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard 4.0 has made a cryptographic inventory a live audit item since March 31, 2025. Commercial National Security Algorithm Suite 2.0 requires new National Security System acquisitions to support post-quantum algorithms beginning January 1, 2027, which reaches every vendor selling into them. The proposed update to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act Security Rule would make encryption of electronic protected health information mandatory in transit and at rest, and health systems are inventorying now rather than waiting for it to land.
