Austin attorney launches newsletter highlighting Texas women balancing careers and family

AUSTIN, TX, September 05, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Austin attorney Laura Ramos James has launched Super Moms of Texas, a newsletter that highlights Texas women who balance demanding careers with family life. The platform, available on its dedicated website, aims to spotlight a diverse group of professionals, including builders, judges, CEOs, and business owners.

Ramos James, who founded the personal injury trial firm Ramos James Law, PLLC, in Austin, initiated the project after personally navigating the challenges of running a law firm while raising two young daughters. "I nursed my newborn during the pandemic while our nanny held her against my chest and I typed emails. That was my maternity leave," she wrote in a letter to subscribers. "I've missed bedtimes for depositions. I've flown to Montana to learn to drive an 18-wheeler while my husband Jon held down the house and law firm alone. Nobody gave me a break. And I'm not asking for one."

The goal of Super Moms of Texas, according to Ramos James, is to allow these women to share their stories in their own words, without the polished narratives often seen in media highlight reels. "Texas moms are making their mark and balancing an extraordinary career while raising a family, and their stories deserve to be told properly, in their own words, including the parts that don't make the highlight reel," she wrote. "They've earned the recognition. The world needs to know their stories."

Each issue of the newsletter centers on a single Texas woman, showcasing how she describes her career and family life. "The women I want to spotlight here aren't asking for breaks either," Ramos James explained. "They're builders. Judges. CEOs. Business owners. Women who decided they wanted all of it at the same time, and went and got it. While carrying a load most people never see. The 5 a.m. starts. The guilt. The school runs between client calls. The work that gets done after bedtime because that's the only slot left."

Ramos James plans to feature women from various fields, including law, business, and the judiciary, as the newsletter grows. "We're not just looking for success stories," she said. "We want to share the full picture of what it means to be a working mom in Texas."

Subscribers can access the newsletter on the Super Moms of Texas website, and follow its updates on Facebook and Instagram. Ramos James Law, PLLC, continues to serve clients in personal injury cases, including trucking, commercial vehicle, car crash, wrongful death, sexual assault, dog bites, and catastrophic injury cases.
