Arion Research Launches Enterprise AI Atlas to Guide Buyers

Arion Research has unveiled a new tool designed to help enterprise buyers navigate the complex and crowded AI market. Entitled Enterprise AI Atlas, the platform aims to provide a clear and comprehensive map of more than 400 enterprise AI solutions, classifying them based on their native versus embedded architectures and levels of autonomous capability.

According to Michael Fauscette, founder of Arion Research, the AI market has rapidly expanded, making it difficult for buyers to distinguish between products that genuinely solve their challenges and those that merely market themselves effectively. Enterprise AI Atlas was created to address this issue by offering a dynamic, filterable map that buyers can use to identify the most suitable AI solutions for their specific use cases.

The core of Enterprise AI Atlas is Arion's Native and Embedded framework. AI Native products are built around a model from the ground up, while AI Embedded products integrate AI into an existing solution to augment its functionality. Each AI product is evaluated against five key criteria: dependency, architecture, origin, commercial structure, and interface. This ensures that the classification reflects what a product delivers rather than how it is positioned in the market.

Fauscette explained, "Buyers do not need another list of logos. They need to know whether what they are buying will actually solve their challenge. A copilot bolted onto a CRM and a model built to run autonomous agents solve different problems and create different risks. Enterprise AI Atlas draws that line clearly, then lets a buyer filter down to the handful of products that actually fit their use case."

Enterprise AI Atlas launches with more than 400 enterprise AI products already classified across various categories such as security, business intelligence, human capital management, enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, coding, and infrastructure. Each product is ranked on a four-level agentic capability scale, ranging from no agentic capability to fully autonomous execution. Users can sort solutions by business function and use case, making it easier to find the most relevant AI products for their needs.

Unlike a static analyst report, Enterprise AI Atlas updates in real time as the market moves and evolves. Each solution includes a written rationale, a confidence rating, and the public evidence behind its classification. Vendors may challenge a placement by presenting evidence against Arion's published tests. Every update documents what was added, removed, or reclassified, making changes in the market visible over time.

To qualify for inclusion in Enterprise AI Atlas, a product must be sold to enterprises with established security and compliance, be generally available today, show evidence of real-world adoption, and be actively maintained. Consumer-only tools, waitlist products, and vendors in stealth are excluded to ensure the map is focused on what a buyer can purchase immediately.

Fauscette added, "While Enterprise AI Atlas covers what enterprise buyers can evaluate today, we also launched its companion, Atlas Horizon, a curated watchlist for products that have not yet cleared the enterprise bar but are worth monitoring. Atlas Horizon tracks AI-native companies that are still building enterprise proof and established platforms whose emerging AI capabilities have begun shipping but have not yet reached broad enterprise availability."

Enterprise AI Atlas is now available at https://www.enterpriseaiatlas.ai. Companies seeking inclusion can submit their solutions for review. Every solution goes through the same five-test evaluation applied to existing entries, and qualifying products are added to the map on an ongoing basis rather than waiting for an annual refresh.
