Angel's Envy Releases Innovative Rye Whiskey with Dual Finish

This new rye whiskey is the first in the Cellar Collection series to undergo a dual-cask finishing process, blending rye whiskeys with both peach brandy and toasted oak barrels.

Master Distiller Owen Martin developed this innovative whiskey, which showcases a complex and refined flavor profile. The Cellar Collection Volume 6 is the result of an intricate dual-cask finishing process, where the whiskeys were aged between 8 and 11 years in a combination of 15-to-23-month finishes in peach brandy barrels and 6-to-12-month finishes in toasted oak barrels. This unique maturation process allows each finishing influence to complement the rye's naturally bold spice, creating a whiskey with remarkable depth and structure.

The Cellar Collection Volume 6 opens with aromas of ripe stone fruit, baking spice, vanilla, and oak. On the palate, notes of peach, caramel, cinnamon, toasted oak, and rye spice lead to a long, warming finish layered with lingering oak and orchard fruit. This expression is bottled at 106.4 proof (53.2% ABV), making it a robust and flavorful addition to the Cellar Collection.

Angel's Envy's Cellar Collection is known for its innovative finishing philosophy, where the company challenges itself to explore what's possible through secondary barrel aging.
