CHARLES TOWN, W.Va., Oct. 14, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- American Public University System, a leading educational institution with a global reach, is set to host its largest and most inclusive virtual career fair to date. The event, titled "Pathways to Possibilities," will take place on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern Time. This nationwide virtual career fair is open to the public, offering a platform for students, alumni, and job seekers to connect with employers from various sectors.

The System, which comprises American Military University (AMU), American Public University (APU), Rasmussen University, and Hondros College of Nursing, is expanding its participation this year. For the first time, all four academic units will be involved, bringing together a diverse array of employers in high-demand fields such as healthcare, technology, business, and government. The event aims to provide participants with opportunities to network and explore career paths.

American Public University System has a long-standing commitment to career readiness, as highlighted by Angela Selden, Chancellor of the System.

The System's academic units offer more than 290 degree programs across a wide range of disciplines, including nursing and healthcare, cybersecurity, information technology, business, criminal justice, intelligence, education, public service, and more. With approximately 109,000 students and over 250,000 alumni worldwide, the System is well-positioned to support a diverse and growing community of learners.

Last year's Nationwide Virtual Career Fair, hosted jointly by AMU, APU, and Rasmussen University, saw nearly 900 people register to attend. During the event, 308 guests submitted job applications, indicating a high level of interest and engagement. This year, the System is expecting an even larger turnout, with the addition of Hondros College of Nursing.

The System's career services teams across its academic units provide students and alumni with a range of resources, including interview preparation, resume assistance, career exploration, professional development, and opportunities to connect with employers. These services are designed to support the System's mission of empowering students to transform their lives and advance their careers.

As the event approaches, the System is encouraging all interested parties to register.

With its focus on inclusivity and career readiness, the "Pathways to Possibilities" Nationwide Virtual Career Fair is poised to be a significant milestone in the System's ongoing efforts to support its students and alumni in their professional journeys.
