AI NEXTGEN AMERICA partners with University of Maryland Global Campus

AI NEXTGEN AMERICA, a conference focusing on workforce development and emerging technologies, has announced a significant partnership with University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC). The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between workforce training and higher education, aligning with the conference's mission to explore the impact of artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge technologies on the job market.

Scheduled for October 9-10, 2026, at the Baltimore Convention Center, AI NEXTGEN AMERICA will convene a diverse group of participants, including employers, educators, government agencies, veterans, students, and industry professionals. The event will delve into how artificial intelligence and related technologies are reshaping the workforce landscape.

Through this partnership, Career Communications Group (CCG) and UMGC plan to explore ways to align short-term workforce learning with ongoing education pathways. They may also collaborate on workforce credentialing, professional development for educators and trainers, initiatives for military and veteran employment, and research into emerging workforce needs. Additionally, the organizations aim to connect learners with educational opportunities that support long-term career growth and address evolving workforce demands.

Tyrone D. Taborn, Chairman and CEO of CCG, emphasized the importance of creating trusted pathways that align workforce needs with educational opportunities. "Having UMGC involved from the beginning helps strengthen the connection between workforce development and higher education," he stated.
