TEL AVIV, Israel, Sept. 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/, ADAMA, a leading global crop protection company, has announced significant leadership changes aimed at driving future growth. Effective November 1, 2026, Dr. Zhigang Hao will take on the role of President and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Gaël Hili. Hili, who has been a key figure at ADAMA, will transition to the role of President of Seeds at Syngenta Group, where he will lead the combined Seeds portfolio across field crops and vegetable seeds. He will also remain a member of the Syngenta Group Leadership Team and serve as Chairman of the Boards of ADAMA Agricultural Solutions Ltd. and ADAMA Ltd.
Dr. Hao brings extensive experience in operations, transformation, and corporate governance, having served as CEO of Adisseo, a global specialty chemicals and animal nutrition company. He will relocate from France to Israel to lead ADAMA into its next phase of growth.
Sammy Leibowitz, who returns to ADAMA from Syngenta Group, will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer on October 1, 2026. Leibowitz previously held senior leadership roles in finance, corporate development, and strategy at ADAMA for over 13 years. He played a crucial role in shaping and implementing the company's transformation strategy. Efrat Nagar, who has been a key finance leader at ADAMA for 22 years, will be leaving the company on September 30.
