XPENG Hosts Robotics Supply Chain Partner Conference

The event brought together key players in the robotics supply chain, focusing on the development and mass production of advanced humanoid robots.

These robots, part of the company's Physical AI strategy, are currently in the process of being mass-produced. At the conference, XPENG showcased the latest capabilities of its robot, IRON, including autonomous orientation and following, seamless multilingual switching, dynamic multi-dimensional identity memory, and versatile intelligent question-answering. These features indicate a significant progression from "autonomous movement" to "natural interaction."

Industry attendees noted that while humanoid robotics is still in its early stages of industrialization, XPENG's clear technology roadmap, product definition, and well-defined mass-production timeline provide confidence that the company will achieve scaled mass production.

He Xiaopeng, Chairman and CEO of XPENG, emphasized the complexity of the humanoid robotics industry. Unlike the automotive industry and traditional robots, robotics requires an entirely new and complete technology system designed for the physical world. As technology and industry mature, robotics will create ever-higher technological and industrial barriers.

XPENG's robot production line officially came into operation recently, marking a significant step toward scaled manufacturing. From automated production line commissioning to robots walking off the line, XPENG is progressively connecting the full mass-production chain from core components to complete machines. The company plans to mass-produce its robots by the end of the year, with initial commercial-scenario rollouts beginning in XPENG's own stores and campuses. Official market launch and delivery in China and overseas markets are scheduled for 2027.
