Xos Hub Surpasses 1 GWh of Cumulative Energy Delivered

A single Xos Hub™, a mobile, grid-independent energy storage and charging system, has surpassed one gigawatt-hour (GWh) of cumulative energy delivered, marking a significant milestone for Xos, Inc. (NASDAQ: XOS). This achievement provides robust, multi-year field evidence of the Hub's durability under continuous, real-world use, which is driving the company's growth across new markets and products.
Over the past year, the Xos Hub has demonstrated exceptional performance, delivering 1,020,143.6 kWh of energy in the field. It has operated near-continuously since entering heavy-duty service in early 2025, averaging between 1,800 to 2,000 kWh of energy delivery per day across more than 33,600 charging sessions. The company’s fleet of deployed Hubs has collectively delivered over 5 GWh of energy, underscoring the scalability and reliability of the platform.

The milestone reflects Xos’s commitment to delivering reliable, high-throughput commercial charging without the need for permanent infrastructure or utility upgrades. The company has expanded its Hub to higher capacity and launched the megawatt-scale Power Hub to meet the growing demand for energy storage and flexible charging solutions.
In January 2026, Xos introduced Hub capacity tiers up to 630 kWh, broadening the range of applications the platform can serve. In June 2026, the Power Hub was launched, a containerized system that scales the Hub architecture to megawatt-scale power for large loads, available in 1.2, 2.5, and 4.0 MWh configurations. Xos has also made significant progress in utility and defense markets, securing a follow-on order from Xcel Energy for three Hubs in Colorado and a prototype Other Transaction Agreement from the U.S. Air Force.
The Xos Hub’s durability and proven performance are also supporting the company’s safety certification efforts. In August 2026, the Hub achieved UL 2202 certification for fleet energy storage systems, enhancing its reliability and safety credentials.
The growing demand for energy storage and flexible charging solutions is driven by the rapid expansion of U.S. energy storage installations. According to Wood Mackenzie and the American Clean Power Association, U.S. energy storage installations reached a record 18.9 gigawatts in 2025, up 52% from the previous year. However, the process of connecting new capacity to the grid remains a bottleneck, with roughly 2,061 gigawatts of generation and storage waiting in U.S. interconnection queues, and a typical project taking more than five years to reach commercial operation.
