CALIFORNIA, CA, UNITED STATES, October 12, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Wuzhong Instrument Co., Ltd., a 1959-founded valve manufacturer based in Wuzhong City, Ningxia, China, has been recognized for its role in advancing process control in the industrial sector. The company, alongside Chongqing Chuanyi Automation Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Lenor Flow Control Technology Co., Ltd., Wuxi Smart Control Engineering Co., Ltd., and Neway Valve (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., is highlighted in a recent overview of China's industrial control valve manufacturing sector.

WZI operates a 120,000-square-metre production facility, employing approximately 1,134 people, with an in-house research team of 86 engineers. The company reports an annual production capacity of 200,000 units. Its product portfolio serves conventional process control applications as well as specialized operating conditions that require careful attention to valve design, materials, and testing. WZI designs and manufactures control valves, severe-service valves, actuators, and valve accessories for various industries, including petrochemicals, power generation, nuclear energy, LNG, oil and gas, and coal chemicals.

According to the release, the global control valve market was valued at USD 10.58 billion in 2025 and is forecast to grow through 2034. Emerson Electric Co.'s Fisher brand held more than 20% of the market in 2025. China's role in the wider valve industry is significant, with the Observatory of Economic Complexity ranking the country as the world's largest exporter of valves under HS 8481 in 2024, with a reported export value of USD 22.6 billion.

Several parts of the IEC 60534 series provide a common technical reference for industrial-process control valves. IEC 60534-1:2023 establishes basic terminology and guidance for applying other parts of the series. IEC 60534-4:2021 addresses inspection and routine testing of control valves manufactured in conformity with the relevant parts of IEC 60534. IEC 60534-3-2:2001 specifies face-to-face dimensions for segmental ball, eccentric rotary plug, and barstock globe valves, and excludes wafer butterfly valves. For replacement projects, these standards help establish a common basis for dimensional review, inspection, and testing.

WZI states that its A Series cryogenic control valve meets the cryogenic test standards BS 6364, GB/T 24925-2019, and MSS SP-134. The company also reports that its CV3000 series was produced under licence from Azbil Yamatake and that its Ecotrol series was developed in cooperation with ARCA Germany. WZI's published product range includes pneumatic control valves, electric control valves, and specialized applications such as compressor protection, oxygen service, and subsea operations. The company has developed more than 100 control valve products, holds more than 600 patents, and has received over 30 national and provincial technology awards. WZI has contributed to the development of more than 20 national standards and has been involved in projects such as the China, Russia Gas Pipeline and Hualong nuclear power projects.

The company claims that its products are designed and manufactured in compliance with API, ASME, ISO, and GOST standards. WZI reports an export ratio of 3.85%, with main markets including Southeast Asia, particularly Malaysia, as well as Iran, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Russia.
