World Class Health Launches Home Infusion Care Service Reducing Costs by 46%

World Class Health, a leading AI-driven specialty care platform, has introduced a groundbreaking service called Infusion Care, allowing patients to receive their treatments at home, significantly reducing costs for employers.

Employees on over 270 specialty infusions, covering 95% of commercial spend, can now be treated in the comfort of their homes, on their own schedule, and at no additional cost. Meanwhile, their employers pay a fraction of the hospital prices, cutting costs by roughly 46% on average.

Specialty drugs account for about half of all pharmacy spending, yet they are used by only 2% of patients. The costs associated with these drugs are projected to rise by another 32% by 2028. Importantly, the same medication can cost several times more in a hospital outpatient setting compared to a home setting, with identical standards of care.

Until now, many patients are referred directly to hospital infusion centers, where a single treatment can occupy up to six hours of a workday. Often, they are unaware that the therapy can be administered at home on evenings or weekends. World Class Health (WCH) aims to change this by providing a seamless, cost-effective, and convenient alternative.

WCH's care team identifies eligible members from claims and prior authorization data, confirms their out-of-pocket costs, and then transitions care to a clinically appropriate setting, whether at home or in a suite. The network offers home infusion services in all 50 states and includes hundreds of infusion suites for members who prefer or require a facility. Both settings offer evening and weekend appointments, allowing members to continue working during home infusions.

"Specialty infusion is an area where patients often have limited knowledge about their options and costs," said Sid Nambiar, CEO of World Class Health. "With our service, a member can receive the same treatment at home on their own schedule and at no additional cost, while their employer pays a fraction of the hospital price."

The process of receiving infusion therapy can be cumbersome for most members. It involves finding an in-network infusion suite, scheduling visits during working hours, maintaining prior authorizations, and updating the prescribing physician after each treatment. Each step can delay therapy.

WCH simplifies the process by assigning a dedicated Nurse Navigator, a licensed nurse who manages every case from eligibility through recovery. The member's sole responsibility is to show up for treatment. "By removing the friction, members stay on therapy and are treated at home instead of losing a workday in a hospital chair," Nambiar added.

WCH's Infusion Care service eliminates the buy-and-bill margin by moving treatments out of hospitals and into homes or lower-cost suites. Savings average approximately 46% against commercial hospital outpatient benchmarks, or $30,000 to $50,000 per patient annually. Each case is measured against the member's prior treatment cost, where a claim exists, or against the published outpatient benchmark for the member's market, where one does not. This allows employers and their advisors to audit every case.

Infusion therapy is now available to WCH clients and their benefits advisors. Contracts can be expanded by service line, enabling employers already working with WCH on surgery or imaging to activate infusion services without a new agreement.

World Class Health currently covers a range of services, including orthopedics, spine, cardiac, bariatric, and general surgery, as well as imaging and infusions. The company is the largest AI-native cost containment lever for self-insured employers, offering the only fully transparent, medically led specialty care centers of excellence platform on the market. Every case is governed by a clinical team, with licensed nurses serving as dedicated Nurse Navigators from eligibility through recovery. The platform uses predictive intelligence to identify employees likely to need high-cost specialty care before a claim is filed, ensuring appropriate care is routed to the right provider, at the right site, at a price that can be verified by the employer.
