MILWAUKEE, Oct. 12, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- On September 24, associates from Wipfli, a leading national advisory and accounting firm with nearly 100 years of serving ambitious middle-market organizations, came together across the United States for the firm's 22nd annual Community Day. The event, which aims to strengthen local communities through volunteer service and charitable giving, saw 660 associates dedicate a combined 2,298 hours of service to 64 nonprofit organizations.
This year’s Community Day activities included a variety of initiatives, from packing meals and supporting food banks to building homes and advancing community programs. One notable project was the team from Wipfli’s Rockford, Illinois, office, which volunteered at the Northern Illinois Food Bank. Their efforts helped provide fresh food to more than 500 neighborhood families, making the experience incredibly rewarding for the volunteers.
Another significant contribution came from Wipfli’s volunteers at Feed My Starving Children in Schaumburg, Illinois. Here, associates packed 36,936 meals, which is enough to provide 101 children with a daily meal for an entire year.
Wipfli’s commitment to giving back extends beyond a single day of volunteer service. Through the Wipfli Foundation’s Community Support Program, associates receive charitable giving credits that can be directed to eligible nonprofit organizations of their choice. The Foundation expects to contribute more than $106,000 through the program this year, further supporting causes that matter most to associates and their communities.
Kurt Gresens, CEO of Wipfli, expressed pride in the difference his associates make every day, especially on Community Day.
Wipfli operates under an alternative practice structure: Wipfli LLP, a licensed CPA firm, provides attest services, while Wipfli Advisory LLC, a non-CPA firm, delivers business advisory and non-attest services. The firm combines national capabilities with local relationships, offering assurance, tax, advisory, outsourcing, and technology services to ambitious middle-market organizations.
