Wild by Nature, the international podcast hosted by Dr. Vian Sharif, is set to launch its second season on October 1, 2026. The show, which has already gained an international audience, aims to delve deeper into the human-nature connection by exploring how our relationship with nature shapes various aspects of our lives.
In Season 2, Wild by Nature will expand its storytelling across oceans, forests, and wild landscapes, featuring a diverse lineup of global voices. Among the notable guests are renowned shark ecologist Cristina Zenato, who will discuss the relationship between humans and sharks in The Bahamas, and Jochen Zeitz, the entrepreneur and conservationist behind the Zeitz Foundation, who will explore the connection between nature and leadership.
Zenato, whose work with sharks in the wild has spanned over three decades, will share her insights on the power of trust and coexistence. This episode is scheduled to air on October 1, 2026.
Zeitz, on the other hand, will discuss the relationship between nature, leadership, and responsibility. His work has inspired the global community of The Long Run, which now helps safeguard more than 23 million acres of ecosystems worldwide. This conversation is set to take place on October 8, 2026, and will explore the lessons nature can teach us about leadership.
Other guests include Leah Rampy, an advocate for a deeper relationship between people and the living world; Nick Hough-Robbins, who will examine how we understand and value nature; and Matt Mikkelsen of Quiet Parks International, who will explore the increasingly elusive concept of quiet in modern life.
The show's international expansion will also take Wild by Nature beyond the traditional podcast studio. On October 8, 2026, Dr. Sharif will record special conversations from Building Bridges in Geneva, Switzerland, an international gathering that brings together leaders from finance, business, government, and civil society to address global sustainability challenges. This event, which takes place from October 6 to 8, will feature Patrick Odier, Chairman of the Building Bridges Foundation and the Supervisory Board of Lombard Odier, who will discuss the concept of stewardship and the responsibilities we have towards the natural world.
Wild by Nature's second season will be available on Apple Podcasts, with new episodes released every other Thursday. The podcast, which explores how the natural world influences human wellbeing, identity, creativity, leadership, and connection, will also expand its emphasis on full-length video, short-form storytelling, international interviews, and location-based conversations. This move marks a significant step in the show's evolution, as it aims to create a growing media platform around stories of human connection to the natural world.
