The Brooklyn-based independent publisher Divine G Entertainment has launched a month-long program called The DGE Double Feature, which pairs eight full-cast cinematic audiobooks through November 1, 2026. The program is led by John Divine G Whitfield, an Academy Award nominee and executive producer of the 2024 A24 film Sing Sing, which received three Oscar nominations, including Best Adapted Screenplay, which credits Whitfield for its story, and Best Actor for Colman Domingo, who portrayed Whitfield in the film.
The DGE Double Feature pairs eight audiobooks, including three full-cast productions. Each MP3 audiobook purchased on the DGE website qualifies the buyer for a second audiobook at no charge, chosen from five designated titles: The Canarsie Connection, No Other Love, Enigma of Love, Baby Doll, and TGONG. Whitfield narrates three of these titles himself: The Canarsie Connection, No Other Love, and Enigma of Love. The discount is applied automatically at checkout. The three Cinematic Audiobooks are priced at $20 each, while the remaining five titles are priced at $15.
Under the Double Feature, each MP3 audiobook download covers a 7-Day Listen Guarantee, under which buyers may request a refund within seven days of purchase. The MP3 files play on phones, computers, car stereos, and MP3 players without a subscription or app. The program covers MP3 downloads only; paperbacks, eBooks, and audio CDs are not included.
The DGE Double Feature is part of Divine G Entertainment's wider relaunch of Whitfield's eight-novel backlist, which spans crime, urban fiction, romance, and science fiction. Several of the titles are in development as screenplays.
Each Double Feature purchase is covered by a 7-Day Listen Guarantee, under which buyers may request a refund within seven days of purchase. Selling direct means it's just me and the listener, no middleman," Whitfield said. "The guarantee is there because I stand behind these productions. Give it a week. If it isn't for you, you get your money back."
