VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 22, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Westhaven Gold Corp. has announced new high-grade results from ongoing resource infill drilling at the South Zone gold and silver deposit on the Shovelnose gold property in southern British Columbia. The 35,000-meter infill program, supported by four drills, has delivered promising results, including highlight assays of 37.89 meters grading 5.29 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 31.9 g/t silver, 14.00 meters grading 13.09 g/t gold and 105.8 g/t silver, and 32.06 meters grading 5.05 g/t gold and 28.1 g/t silver.

The resource infill drilling program is on schedule for completion by the end of September, after which the current 15,000-meter exploration drilling program will ramp up to four drills. Additionally, the company has initiated a CDN$4,000,000 sonic drilling program to advance geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations, targeting completion in the second half of 2027.

Westhaven Gold Corp. is also progressing with a strategic earn-in agreement with Dundee Corporation, which aims to earn up to a 60% interest in the company's four Spences Bridge Gold Belt properties through up to CDN$85,000,000 in staged project expenditures. Dundee has committed a minimum of CDN$30,000,000, inclusive of a fully funded 50,000-meter resource infill and exploration drill program and ongoing pre-feasibility work at Shovelnose.

The company has reported assay results from an additional 13 infill drill holes, bringing the total number of reported drillholes to 72. Earlier assays from the infill drilling program can be found in Westhaven news releases from May 7, May 26, July 7, July 28, and August 20.

The 2026 work programs are being funded under the earn-in agreement, with the company shifting its focus to exploration drilling through the remainder of the year. Four drills are expected to ramp up the exploration program, targeting an increase in drilling activity.

The company continues to advance its exploration and development plans at the Shovelnose project, with the goal of unlocking the full potential of the deposit. The ongoing drilling and exploration activities are expected to provide valuable data for the company's future growth and development.
