WestGold Metals Corp. has agreed to sell its Isoneva gold property option in Finland to Jesmond Capital Ltd., marking a significant step in the company’s strategic realignment. The deal, announced on September 15, 2026, is part of WestGold’s broader effort to focus on North American exploration projects.

WestGold Metals Corp., based in Vancouver, British Columbia, has been actively repositioning itself since January 2026. The company has renewed its leadership team, changed its name from Nordique Resources Inc., and optioned several projects in Idaho, including the Amie, Silver Rock, and Demming properties. The sale of the Isoneva option is the final piece in this strategic transition.

Under the agreement, WestGold will transfer the Isoneva option, technical information, and the benefit of all qualifying exploration expenditures to Jesmond Capital Ltd. In return, Jesmond will issue 1,075,000 common shares to WestGold, representing approximately 9.9% of Jesmond’s issued and outstanding shares. Additionally, Jesmond will pay WestGold $250,000 in cash and reimburse the company for €52,197 in exploration expenditures. If Jesmond exercises the Isoneva option, it will pay an additional $325,000.

The Isoneva property, located in the municipality of Reisjärvi, central Finland, was optioned from Gemdale Gold Inc. in June 2025. The property consists of three exploration permits and has not yet seen the definition of mineral resources or reserves. WestGold’s decision to divest the Isoneva option is driven by its focus on North American projects, particularly the Idaho Portfolio, where the company is preparing for its maiden drill program.

James Hocking, CEO of WestGold, expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the transaction.

The transaction is subject to several conditions, including Jesmond’s completion of its Qualifying Transaction and concurrent financing, receipt of all required regulatory approvals, and an acknowledgement from Gemdale regarding the status of the underlying option agreement. The deal is expected to be finalized by December 31, 2026.

WestGold’s repositioning as a North American-focused explorer is part of a broader strategy to concentrate its resources and management efforts on advancing its Idaho projects. The company is currently working on the surface work required for its maiden drill program at the Amie project, one of the Idaho Portfolio holdings.

The sale of the Isoneva option is expected to return cash to WestGold’s balance sheet, remove funding obligations, and allow the company to maintain exposure to the project through its interest in Jesmond. This move is seen as a strategic decision to streamline operations and focus on high-priority exploration opportunities in North America.
