WestGold Expands Amie Gold-Silver Project with New Exploration Targets

WestGold Metals Corp. has expanded its exploration targets at the Amie Gold-Silver Project in Idaho, announcing the discovery of a 1.95-kilometer-long chargeability anomaly that could host significant mineral deposits. The company has also increased its land package in the area, staking additional claims that cover an additional 308.8 hectares, bringing its total land holdings to 984.5 hectares.

WestGold's exploration team, led by Antoine Soucy-Fradette, Vice President of Exploration, has reviewed historical data from the Amie project, including a 2025 induced polarization (IP) survey and a 2024 independent structural mapping study. The IP survey, conducted by TMC Geophysics on behalf of IDEX Metals Corp., identified a principal chargeability body approximately 1,950 meters long, with a secondary body 730 meters to the northwest. The survey proposed seven drill holes, totaling approximately 1,535 meters, to test five prioritized IP axes.

The 2024 structural mapping study, carried out by SGM of the United Kingdom, highlighted the presence of mineralisation within Cretaceous granitoid rocks, intercalated with bands of biotite schist and unconformably overlain by post-mineral conglomerate, dacitic crystal tuff, and basalt. The study concluded that the Amie prospect is a "project of merit" and "drill ready," recommending drill orientations specifically against the mapped fault and hydrothermal breccia orientations at each prospect.

WestGold has integrated the geophysical and structural datasets, resulting in a revised drill plan that tests both the chargeability anomalies and the interpreted controlling structures. The company is currently undertaking a 566-sample soil geochemical program, along with geological mapping and rock sampling, to support the drill design. The field program is expected to finalize the maiden drill design at Amie and provide the necessary information for the initial drilling campaign.

The Amie project already benefits from an existing Mining Notice, which was approved by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and is now being transferred into the company's name and renewed for a two-year term. This allows WestGold to proceed with the exploration program without starting the drill permitting process from scratch.

The company is optimistic about the potential of the Amie project, given its historical high-grade gold and silver surface samples, including values up to 106.8 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold and 1,875 g/t of silver. The expanded land package and the geophysical and structural data provide a solid foundation for a comprehensive exploration program.

WestGold Metals Corp. is currently focused on defining the extent and tenor of mineralisation at the Amie project, with the primary objective being to test the chargeability anomalies below the oxidised zone. The company's expanded land holdings and integrated exploration strategy position it well for further exploration and potential development of the property.
