Wescan Energy Commences Multilateral Well Drilling in Provost Area

Wescan Energy Corp. has commenced drilling operations on its latest multilateral well in the Provost area of east-central Alberta. The company, which recently secured $1.3 million through a convertible debenture financing, announced the spudding of the Wescan 105 Provost 15-21-38-3 well on September 10, 2026. This marks the third multilateral well Wescan has drilled in the Provost area, targeting the Rex Member of the Mannville Group.

Sarshar Ahmad, Chief Operating Officer of Wescan Energy Corp., commented, "Every aspect of this well was meticulously planned and executed well before the licence was issued, which is why we were able to spud within days of receiving the licence. The drilling is proceeding on schedule, and we are confident in bringing this well online on time and within budget."
