Wellyx Introduces One-Time Cost Access Control System for Gyms

DALLAS, Oct. 8, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Wellyx, a trusted provider of gym management software, has introduced a new access control system designed to offer gyms a one-time cost solution for managing entry. The system, known as Wellyx Pro+, is priced at $499 per entry point and is included in the company's Exceed and Ultimate plans, with no additional per-door fees.

This new offering addresses a common challenge faced by fitness businesses: the recurring costs associated with access control systems. Standalone access control systems often charge monthly fees, per door, per location, or per user, in addition to the cost of the gym's management software. Wellyx aims to simplify and streamline this process by integrating the hardware and software into its existing platform.

The Wellyx Pro+ access unit can connect to standard entry hardware through an electronic relay or controller, allowing gyms to keep their existing locks. Supported hardware includes turnstiles, speed gates, magnetic locks, and strike electric locks. This compatibility ensures that gyms can avoid the cost of removing and replacing existing equipment.

The system also integrates seamlessly with Wellyx's membership management and attendance tracking features. Members can enter the facility using an NFC card, a key fob, or a QR code from the Wellyx member app. Each entry is logged with a timestamp, location, and entry point, providing owners with real-time data on who is in the facility at any given time. This feature helps operators manage peak and quiet hours and identify members whose visits are declining.

For gyms that operate 24/7, the Wellyx Pro+ system is particularly advantageous. According to the Leisure DB State of the UK Fitness Industry Report 2025, 35% of private gyms and fitness clubs are open 24/7. An access system that works without front-desk staff is essential for these unstaffed hours.

Duquaine Brooks, CEO of Lyon Fitness Center, commented on the benefits of the new system.

The Wellyx Pro+ access unit is now available, along with NFC cards, key fobs, and branded credentials. Full details and pricing are available on the Wellyx hardware page. This new offering is part of Wellyx's commitment to providing an integrated platform for fitness businesses, streamlining operations and reducing costs.
