Weatherford completes acquisition of NCS Multistage expanding completions portfolio

HOUSTON, Sept. 01, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Weatherford International plc has completed its acquisition of NCS Multistage, significantly expanding the company's completions portfolio and enhancing its capabilities in reservoir diagnostics and well performance solutions. The deal, announced earlier this year, marks a strategic move by Weatherford to bolster its market position and deliver more comprehensive services to its customers.

Under the terms of the acquisition, NCS Multistage stockholders received either 0.554 shares of Weatherford ordinary shares, or a combination of 0.239 Weatherford ordinary shares and a cash amount equivalent to 0.137 Weatherford ordinary shares, subject to proration and certain limitations. NCS Multistage's stock has ceased trading and will no longer be listed on the NASDAQ.

The integration of complementary technologies and expertise from NCS Multistage with Weatherford's existing services will help the company support customers throughout the complete well lifecycle. NCS Multistage's strengths in completions and reservoir diagnostics will bolster Weatherford's existing capabilities in well construction, completions, production optimization, and intervention. Additionally, the acquisition will accelerate the global deployment of NCS technologies through Weatherford's extensive market presence.

Advisors to Weatherford included King & Spalding LLP, while Baker Botts L.L.P. served as legal counsel to NCS Multistage. Piper Sandler & Co. acted as the financial advisor to NCS Multistage.
