Weatherford Capital Appoints New Partner to Flagship Strategy

TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 20, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Weatherford Capital, a private investment firm founded in 2015, has appointed Michael Pantilione as a Partner. In this role, Pantilione will join the senior leadership of the Firm's flagship strategy, working alongside Managing Partner and Co-Founder Will Weatherford and Partner and Co-Founder Sam Weatherford across investment strategy, team management, and portfolio oversight. He will also join the investment committee of the flagship strategy.

Weatherford Capital's flagship strategy focuses on established markets where regulation and governance meaningfully shape how businesses operate, grow, and evolve. As Partner, Pantilione will provide leadership across investment strategy, team management, deal sourcing, evaluation, execution, and portfolio management, with particular emphasis on opportunities where technology can improve important processes and advance how products and services are delivered.

Pantilione joins from LLR Partners, a lower middle market private equity firm that invests in software and tech-enabled companies. Over 20 years at LLR, he rose from summer intern to Partner, partnering with enterprise software businesses to support their scaling initiatives and accelerate growth. He served on the boards of Dizzion, eLocal, Magaya, PCS Software, Relay Network, SMG, and SparkPost, and as a board observer at CollabNet and CoreDial. Pantilione earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
