AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 23, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Waterloo Capital, an Austin-based registered investment adviser, has announced a strategic partnership with Bay Rivers Group Wealth Partners, a wealth management firm headquartered in Williamsburg, Virginia. Effective September 15, 2026, Bay Rivers Group Wealth Partners will operate as Bay Rivers Group Wealth Partners, Powered by Waterloo, with its advisors becoming investment adviser representatives of Waterloo Capital.

The partnership brings together one of the Southeast's longest-tenured advisory practices with a national platform that offers institutional-grade investment management, private markets access, advanced financial planning, and integrated tax services. Bay Rivers Group Wealth Partners, founded by Charles P. Lucy, CFP®, Bruce A. Lemley, CFP®, and Alan L. Broderick, CFP®, has served clients in the Historic Triangle and greater Hampton Roads region for nearly three decades. The firm will continue to operate from its Williamsburg office, maintaining the same local team and client relationships.

Under the partnership, Bay Rivers Group Wealth Partners' advisors will gain access to Waterloo Capital's investment platform, which includes institutional asset management, alternative and private markets strategies, advanced financial planning resources, and integrated tax services through Waterloo Capital Tax Partners. This will provide clients with a broader range of services, including estate and charitable structuring, concentrated stock and capital gains planning, and coordinated tax preparation and planning.

Charles P. Lucy, a senior partner at Bay Rivers Group Wealth Partners, emphasized the importance of the cultural alignment between the two firms.

Waterloo Capital, which has been recognized as one of the nation's fastest-growing registered investment advisers, will support Bay Rivers Group's organic growth in the Williamsburg, Newport News, Richmond, and greater Hampton Roads markets. The firm's expansion strategy includes advisor recruitment, strategic partnerships, and the development of specialized brands and service lines.

The transition will involve the Bay Rivers Group team continuing to serve clients from the same office under the Bay Rivers Group name. Clients will receive documentation reflecting that advisory services are provided through Waterloo Capital, L.P., including Waterloo Capital's Form ADV disclosure brochure and Form CRS. They will also be asked to complete new advisory agreements and any account paperwork required by their custodian.

The partnership is expected to support continuity planning for Bay Rivers Group clients, addressing a common concern in the advisory industry where a significant share of practitioners are approaching retirement without a defined succession path.
