BEIJING, Sept. 8, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Waterdrop Inc., a healthcare technology company listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker WDH, reported strong second-quarter financial results on September 8, 2026. The company's operating revenue for the quarter reached RMB1,448.2 million, marking a 72.8% increase from the same period in 2025. Net profit attributable to ordinary shareholders was RMB125.8 million, reflecting a continuous period of 18 profitable quarters.
Waterdrop's insurance business continued to grow robustly, with insurance-related revenue increasing by 80.5% year-over-year. The company's operating profit from the insurance business rose to RMB183.6 million, a 20% increase from the previous quarter. The company attributed this growth to the increasing application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology across the insurance value chain. The "AI Medical Insurance Expert" facilitated a 25.6% rise in premiums, while first-year premiums for long-term insurance saw a 33.4% increase.
In terms of product innovation, Waterdrop launched the "Rongyibao," the first long-term critical illness insurance product that requires no health disclosure and offers five-year guaranteed renewability. This product covers more than 100 critical illnesses and includes optional riders for accidental death and disability benefits. Additionally, the company expanded the "Jixing Gaozhao" series with the introduction of the first lifetime specified disease insurance product requiring no health disclosure.
Waterdrop Medical Crowdfunding, which has facilitated over RMB74.7 billion in donations to more than 3.82 million patients since its launch in 2016, continued to play a crucial role in providing emergency relief. The platform's use of AI in risk management has significantly improved the accuracy and efficiency of identifying and managing high-risk scenarios. Waterdrop also launched AI fundraising assistants in 548 cities across the country, providing round-the-clock support to users.
Waterdrop's digital clinical trial solutions business, E-Find Platform, reported a net revenue of RMB35.2 million, a 26.8% increase from the same quarter in 2025. The platform established partnerships with 255 well-known domestic and overseas pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations (CROs).

Waterdrop Charity collaborated with multiple foundations to deliver over 2,000 relief supply packages to the Guangxi disaster zone, aiding affected communities during the crisis.
